Letter from Our Pastor
Dear Elk Creek family,
As you are aware, Governor Little has issued a 21-day stay-at-home order. As a church, we honor our authorities. My purpose with this letter is to inform you on how this will impact operations at the church. We will continue “virtual church” through April 15. Unfortunately, this affects Easter. As you know, the situation is fluid. Our intentions are to declare our first Sunday back together for worship to be our Easter celebration. Lord willing, it will not be too much longer.
We are closing the church offices effective Thursday, March 26. Our staff team will be working from home. We will have all phone calls redirected to my assistant, Valerie Wilcox’s cell phone. Her number is 208-315-3055. The church email account is info@elkcreekchurch.com. Please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are here to serve you!
I believe that Sunday worship is essential for the believer. Therefore, Pastor Ryan, Ricki and I will continue to record worship services for you to view on Sunday mornings. Please understand that we are adhering to CDC guidelines during the recordings. We are keeping our distance from each other.
Don’t lose hope in this difficult time. Get alone with God. Read your Bible. Spend time in prayer. Meditate on the following verses…
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:7 NLT
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
I pray this helps you overcome fear and anxiety. Know that I love you and miss you. I stand ready to minister to you any way that I can.
Pastor Eric
